1895 Founded as Dufftown-Glenlivet Distillery 1896 Production commences 1897 P. Mackenzie & Co (Distillers) Ltd 1933 Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd 1968 Maltings decommisioned 1974 Stills increased from 2-4 1979 Stills increased from 4-6 1985 Guiness bought over Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd. 1997 Guiness and Grand Metropolitan merged into Diageo 2006 Release duty free only as "The Singleton of Dufftown"
